Ratings on AuraRate are anonymous by default, but you can reveal the identity of anyone who scored your outfit. Here's exactly how to do it, and when it's worth going Pro for unlimited reveals.
AuraRate's anonymous rating system exists for one reason: to make scores more honest. When raters know their identity is hidden, they score what they genuinely see rather than what's socially acceptable. The result is ratings that are more useful for you as someone trying to improve your style.
Anonymity also encourages more people to rate in the first place. Many users would skip rating a post if they knew the poster could immediately see who gave them a 5. Hidden by default, they rate freely, which means your posts collect more data.
Every rating notification you receive shows the score but hides the rater's identity with a blurred profile icon. Tapping on that notification opens the reveal flow. From there you have two options:
Open the AuraRate notification for a rating you received. You'll see the score, the time, and a blurred circle where the rater's profile photo would be.
The reveal button appears below the blurred profile. Tap it to initiate the reveal flow.
Free users watch a brief video ad to unlock one reveal. Pro users skip this entirely and see the rater's profile immediately with no limit on reveals.
The rater's profile photo, username, and Aura Score are revealed. You can tap through to their profile to see their style and decide whether to follow them.
Both options give you full access to a voter's identity. The difference is convenience and cost:
Knowing who rated you opens up several possibilities:
Download AuraRate free and find out who's been rating your style.
Does the rater know when I reveal them?
No. Reveals are private. The person who rated you receives no notification that you've looked up their identity.
Can I reveal all my voters at once?
You reveal voters one at a time. With AuraRate Pro, there's no limit on how many you can reveal, so you can go through your entire notification list if you like.
What if the rater has deleted their account?
If the rater deleted their account after rating you, the reveal will show a deleted account placeholder. Their rating still counts in your score.
Can I reveal voters from old posts?
Yes. Any rating you've ever received can be revealed, regardless of when the post was made, as long as the rater's account still exists.
