What is This or That?

This or That is AuraRate's outfit poll. Instead of posting one outfit for a score, you post two outfits side by side and ask a simple question: which one? Everyone who sees it swipes left or right to vote for the look they prefer.

The result shows up live in percentages, with a star on the winning outfit and the total number of votes. It's the fastest way to answer "which outfit should I wear?" with opinions from real people instead of guessing alone in front of the mirror.

How to post a This or That

1. Take two photos. Full-length, same spot, same lighting, so the only difference people see is the outfit.
2. Tap the + button and choose This or That.
3. Add both photos and a short question, like "Which one for the office?" or "Dinner tonight, left or right?"
4. Pick how long it stays open: 12, 24 or 36 hours.
5. Choose who can vote: everyone on Explore, only your friends, or keep it private.

Then share it and watch the votes come in. You get a notification every time someone picks one of your outfits.

Why a vote works better than asking a friend

Asking one friend gives you one opinion, and friends tend to be polite. A This or That vote collects many quick, honest opinions in a short time. Because voting is just a swipe, people give their real first impression, which is exactly what everyone else will see when you walk out the door.

It also works for any decision about style: two pairs of shoes, a jacket or no jacket, a bold color versus a safe one, or two complete looks for an event.

This or That vs. getting your outfit rated

AuraRate has two ways to get feedback. When you have one outfit and want to know how good it is, post it for a rating and get a score out of 10. When you are choosing between two, use This or That and let people pick. Many users do both: vote first to decide, then post the winner for a fit check score that adds to their Aura Score.
